Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in their child's swimming activities. Also, to ensure that we have a successful team, parents are encouraged to seek an opportunity to volunteer with the team in an area of their choosing. Roles and functions that parents perform for the team are:

• Web site management: responsible for the maintenance of the team wef-site. updating new information about the team , meets, results, etc.
• Advertisement: Distributing flyers to schools and promoting the club through any effective media.
• Meet officiating: Meets require volunteer stroke judes, referee's, and starters. There is some training required for some of the positions, but these are of no cost -- with the exception of time -- to the parent.
• Meet parents: Respnsible for brining snacks to the meets for the kids.
• Socials: planning monthly team activities, two annual parties, and bi-monthly community activities.
• Meet organization: Assist coaching staff in preparation and operation of Lehi Aquatics sponsered events.
• Timing System Operation: Obtaining training and running the timing system for Lehi Aquatics sponsered events.
• Photographer/Videographer: Responsible for taking pictures at meets, practices, and team activities. Equipment must be provided by parents. What is collected will be used for the website and in team parties.
• Monthly newsletter/Bulletin board: updating the bulleten board located at the Lehi Legacy Center and publishing a monthly newsletter. Contents would include:

  • Announcements
  • Calendar changes
  • Upcoming activities
  • New team members
  • Swimmer spot lights
  • Swim tips from coaches
  • Meet results
  • etc.
